Dermaplane
Dermaplaning is a cosmetic procedure that involves using a sterile surgical scalpel to gently scrape off the top layer of dead skin cells along with fine vellus hair (peach fuzz) from the face. The procedure aims to exfoliate the skin, leaving it smoother and brighter. It can also help skincare products penetrate more effectively and can be used to prepare the skin for other treatments, such as chemical peels. Dermaplaning is generally safe for most skin types but may not be suitable for those with active acne or certain skin conditions. During the consultation our aesthetician will determine if it's right for you.
Micro-needling
Micro-needling, also known as collagen induction therapy, is a minimally invasive cosmetic procedure that involves using a device containing fine needles to create tiny punctures or "micro-injuries" in the skin's surface. These micro-injuries stimulate the body's natural wound healing process, triggering the production of collagen and elastin, which are essential for maintaining healthy, youthful-looking skin.
Micro-needling is commonly used to address various skin concerns, including:
- Fine lines and wrinkles around the eye
- Acne scars
- Enlarged pores
Plasma Pen
A plasma pen is a cosmetic device used in dermatology and aesthetics for skin treatments. It utilizes plasma technology to deliver controlled heating to the skin, which stimulates collagen production and promotes skin tightening. The device creates a small electrical arc or plasma discharge that targets specific areas of the skin, causing micro-injuries that trigger the body's natural healing response.
The plasma pen is commonly used to address various skin concerns, including:
- Fine lines and wrinkles around the eye
- Acne scars
- Enlarged pores
- Skin Tags
- Dark spots
